I love drawing and do it as much as possible.
My favourite thing is to have a lovely fresh piece of
paper and an ink pen in front of me, coffee in hand and
a podcast on. Recently I have returned to
hand building in clay, and I'm inspired to develop my art making- stay tuned!
My drawings are inspired by my own childhood - I still remember the feeling of being alone in the branches of a tree, or staring at the cloudy sky, the comfort of rain and the drama of a youthful mind. I always want interest in my drawings,
they either have to have a tension of something about to occur, a twist, a great perspective, or dramatic colour. I like the unexpected drawings that come out, especially ink ink blots and scribble, nothing is too highly planned with me!

I am privileged to be illustrating books for kids, and have illustrated:

'Don't Think About Purple Elephants' by Susan Whelan (Merritt), 2015, (EK Books).
'The Great Sock Secret', Susan Whelan, 2016, Sugar and Spice Collection, (EK Books)
'Patch and Ruby' by Anouska Jones, 2016, Sugar and Spice Collection, (EK Books)
'Dance With Me' by Penny Harrison, 2016, Sugar and Spice Collection, (EK Books)
'The Chalk Rainbow' by Deborah Kelly, 2017, (EK Books)
'Finding Granny' by Kate Simpson, 2018, (EK Books)
'Together Things' by Michelle Vasiliu, 2020, (EK Books)

My drawings have been described as 'poetic', 'welcoming' and having a narrative. I love watching people engage with my illustrations.
I have past art and design education from both TAFE and University, having completed an Art Certificate, a Bachelor degree in visual art majoring in Plant and Wildlife Illustration, Printing Design and Typography and Desktop Publishing courses. I do commissions, markets and exhibitions, please go to my events page for information on what's coming up next.
