School visits!

I love coming to visit schools, and I have had some wonderful experiences reading for the class, dancing around libraries, doing craft and art activities and drawing live.

In fact, drawing under pressure and in front of a crowd is my 'thing' and it's a wonderfully fun thing to do on the smartboard or ipad with a classroom of children suggesting different coloured animals doing unusual activities, like jumping on a trampoline, or skateboarding. I have games that relate to themes or the medium used in my books.

I also go through the illustration process of picture books with the class with a Power Point presentation of before and after illustrations and what happens during the long process of book creation, including insights from the publishing side.

I have done workshops, talks and art activities with pre- school to year six to adults and I adjust talks to age appropriateness.
